This is an amazing vacuum at such a good value! DO IT!
By K Morgan on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2025
I've had this vacuum for quite some time now and all I can say is, this thing is GREAT! It was a huge upgrade from my last vacuum. This thing has so much sucking power, it literally pulls itself forward on the carpet. The attachments are great as well and make it easy to reach the ceiling or vacuum furniture or places high up. I like how you can disconnect the vacuum from the base as well for added maneuverability. It is also super easy to clean. Just a latch for the top and bottom and it all falls out into the trash! The scent pods are interesting and not sure if it works super well but it is a nice touch. When switching between carpet and hard floor the vacuum doesn't miss a beat. I've also never had to deal with anything getting caught in the vacuum. My last vacuum, hair would get wrapped around the brush and it'd clog BAD. Not this one, it handles hair with ease. If you have a pet, this vacuum is a great choice! Also vacuums up kitty litter well! Overall, this is a high end vacuum at a great price! Have had zero issues for over a year! Highly recommend!

DO NOT BUY ITS JUNK, buy the shark NV552
By 1371 on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2024
I can only talk about 2 shark models: the UV900 and the NV552 since I have owned both. This is my story I had the NV552 for 6 years and it was fantastic. I have 3 English Bulldogs who shed like crazy. I have to vacuum at least 3 times a week. And the NV552 was a suction monster. I kept the filters clean and changed the brush roller and belt every year (the UV900 you cant change the brush roller only the soft roller in front that is a huge negative because brush rollers wear out in 2 to 3 years so when the brush roller wears out you have to buy a new vacuum SERIOUS PLEASE CHECK NOT LYING) That right there should make you run from this vacuum especially how much it cost. BUT there is more. So after 6 years my NV552 went down the front motor that turns the roller was shot. I could have easily bought a replacement it is an easy fix. (you cant replace the motor in the UV900 SERIOUS PLEASE CHECK NOT LYING) So got on Amazon looking for the part and came across the UV900 and was amazed look at all the gidgets and gadgets it even had a built in air freshner to freshin the carpet (doesn't do S*^$ cant smell nothing) I was sold. When the UV900 came it was like X-MAS (not much gets an old 53 year man exited, yes ladies vacuuming is my thing my wife is not allowed to touch the vacuum only in case of an emergency) Got it all set up, kicked the dogs out, LETS ROCK, I am thinking "This is going blow away that old piece of junk NV552. Flipped the switch AND could already tell not as much power BUT I am thinking "its new tech maybe it does not need alot of power but sucks like know one biz". So start in the living room after about 5 min I KNEW this is a piece of JUNK. It hardly picked up ANYTHING now I havent vacuumed for close to a week waiting for the UV900 so there should be alot of dirt and especially dog hair. I do the whole house. I almost cried it was that bad. With the NV552 I had to dump the canister at least 2 times sometimes 3 (and the NV552 canister is bigger than the UV900) The UV900 canister was barely half full after vacuuming the whole house. So got on the net and did some digging this is what I found. 1. POWER the UV900 has a 960 watt motor the NV552 has a 1200 watt motor doesnt seem like a huge diff but trust me it is. That is suction POWER PEOPLE and anyone who says watts dont matter (on a shark vacuum) has no clue. 2. REPLACEMENT PARTS. The UV900 good luck shark has made its newer vacuums so you cant work on them. They want you to buy a new vacuum every 2 to 4 years NOT LYING check it out on youtube. The NV552 you can fix almost anything on the vacuum. 3. The UV900 is meant for hardwood floors and high pile carpets. But still would not buy the NV552 is still better on those surfaces. 4. AND PRICE go compare the cost of a UV900 to a NV552 that and what I have told you should be enough NOT to buy the UV900 So packed up the UV900 and sent it back. I ended up buying a new bottom half for my NV552 (almost the same price as just the motor but still WAYYY cheaper than the UV900) When it came kicked the dogs out and HOLY COW 5 FULL canisters of dirt and dog hair. What ever shark you buy the 2 most important things you need to look at #1 Can you replace the parts like the brush roller or a motor if you cant dont buy that model# POWER after finding #1 look at the watts on the models (you can find the watts on shark website) Get the highest watts possible. And dont fall for the gidgets and gagets like the soft roller brush in the front or the carpet freshner dispenser. POWER MEANS MORE SUCTION and that is what you want in a vacuum.
