I FIRST BOUGHT THIS DOLL @ ANOTHER STORE ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SINCE. I CAME UPON THIS ONE BY CHANCE THE OTHER DAY AND IT IS ALMOST THE EXACT SAME ONE AS THE ONE I PURCHASED TEN YEARS AGO, ONLY THINGS THAT HAVE CHANGED ARE THE CLOTHES AND MAYBE THE HAIR AND OF COURSE, THE PRICE. OTHERWISE, THE BABY DOLL IS THE SAME. IT IS A GREAT BABY DOLL TO GIFT AS A FIRST BABY DOLL, TO WHICH THIS TIME I PURCHASED FOUR OF THEM, AS GIFTS. I AM THINKING EVEN PURCHASING EVEN MORE AND JUST KEEPING THEM TO GIFT THEM AS I SEE FIT. THE ONES I HAVE GIFTED SO FAR HAVE LOVED THEM. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS ITEM.

Bought the 15” baby Stella. Doll is not 15”.

As another reviewer stated, I don’t know what it is about baby Stella but we can’t live without her. I have 2 toddlers that LOVE these dolls. We have 2 baby Stella’s that have been a part of our family for years. Now that the little one is so attached I bought a 3rd baby Stella to be a backup and to rotate along with the first 2 so baby Stella’s never have to go missing when they need to be cleaned or in the event that the unthinkable happens and one gets lost. Before placing the order I checked and triple checked that I was ordering the 15” doll and not the 12”. Then I checked again. I verified that the doll in the pink and white striped dress was the 15” doll on the manufacturers website. The new baby Stella arrived much to my relief. It only took one look and feel to know this doll was smaller than our 15” older baby Stella’s. I measured her. Yep. 12”. I compared her side by side with our older baby Stella’s as well as with a new baby fella. Yep. Smaller. I checked the box only to see 15” on the box. I contacted the manufacturer. I wanted to make sure that the doll I had just bought was indeed the 15” doll. They verified that the is number on the box and on the doll were the 15” doll. They assured me that baby Stella has never been changed and they are still making her exactly the same today as they always have. Umm. No, they are not. The new baby Stella’s are not 15”. The old baby Stella’s are not 15” but the new ones are even smaller. I reluctantly sent the new baby Stella back as I can not slip her into rotation since shear so much smaller. She also had a seen on bow that our old ones do not have and this particular doll had a nuetral expression instead of a smile. I actually liked the nuetral expression as it allows the child a broader range of imagination in play since the doll can be happy or sad. So back, new baby Stella went and I bought an older version off eBay to be our backup baby. All in all, baby Stella is a wonderful doll. She is simple and timeless. Has a sweet face. Is made of some kind of fleece material giving her an extra cuddly soft body. She does not stare blankly into space the way dolls with plastic heads and unseeing eyes do. She does not stink of chemicals and fragrances as plastic dolls do. She can be thrown in the washer and dryer as needed, although not manufacturer recommended. She is cuddly to sleep with and does not stab you with hard plastic toes and fingers the way plastic dolls do. And the magnetic mouth...BRILLIANT!!! The pacifier does not look realistic but children do not seem to care. There is a simple fun in this pacifier that pops on and off baby Stella’s mouth with the pull of magnet to magnet. The magnets appear to be well secured and well hidden. We have never had any problems with the magnets. I just wish the manufacturer would realize there is a market for a bottle and pacifier set sold at a reasonable price.

I bought this for my niece for her 1st birthday. Her mother is very particular about being age appropriate, so I purchased this based on previous reviews. I was not disappointed. Her mother said that she doesn’t fuss when going to bed now, nor does she cry when she gets up. She holds her all night and takes her everywhere. She gives her kisses all the time. I think the major difference is that she is a soft baby doll with a cute expression. I think I will add to her collection this Christmas.

I've tried a few other dolls for my little girl (almost 3 now), but none of them stuck. She loves babying our baby, though, and helping with diapers, so I really wanted to get her a lovey doll. This is perfect. We left on the little plastic wire with the pacifier, so it's still attached to her shirt. It might be luck that ours was attached at just the right place, though. I got this for my daughter for Christmas. The doll itself seems fine so far but it won’t be completely pulled out and opened until Christmas so I hope there aren’t other problems. The reason for four starts is the clothing on the doll. I am making play diapers to go with this doll and so I started measuring it to do so. I literally just got it from the UPS man and went to measure the doll and the bottoms on the doll are coming apart. The elastic is cheaply sewn onto the bottoms and is coming apart. I haven’t pulled the doll out of the box or anything. I simply measured around the doll and noticed a bubble where the bottoms were coming apart from the elastic. I attached some pictures to help show what was going on. It’s a bummer as I need the doll to work on the cloth diapers I’m making so I can’t send it back before Christmas. I will have to sew it up myself, I just wish they would give some kind of discount for defects like that.

So happy we ordered this doll for our almost-one-year-old granddaughter. She loved it from the start. The pacifier is so cute, the doll so cuddly, and a nice size, too. Only reason for a four rather than a five star was that the open-front box came in a mailing bag, so the box was slightly crushed. Sending in a box would have prevented this. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.
