Squishmallows 12in Trudy Ladybug

Ordered in stock, sold and shipped by Amazon on March 1, 2024. Arrived March 17, 2024. Pros: + Well made (i.e. sewn, embroidered stitched, and evenly stuffed full) + Stuffing offers good, satisfying squish + Outer, velvet-like fabric is plush and soft + Embroidered areas are a bit fat, making then nicely soft instead of stiff and uncomfortable + Embroidery is well done + Embroidered accents (i.e. eyes, smile, beet’s ridges) are large Cons: - Slightly over 10”, not 12”. It’s much shorter than 2024’s Easter Series 12” Caroleena, the orange carrot and it’s also shorter than,11” Lil Gouda, the grilled cheese sandwich Squishmallows. - The beet greens are not filled—at all—with any soft material. There is ONLY hard, immovable plastic underneath the greens and stem. - The beet greens and stem are held erect by a ridged plastic core that is well-fixed into the plush. Wish the greens and stems were filled with firmer, soft material. I don’t buy Squishmallows for decorative purposes. I’ve been buying them as pillow-like gifts to hopefully bring cheer and small comfort to adult loved ones going through difficult times. The ridged, immovable plastic core of the beet greens and stem render this Squishmallows not 100% comfortable to hold and hug. - More purple than anticipated. Claudia the purple beet is literally, officially, described as purple; and, real life beets are blue-purple tinged. But, from all the online product pictures and other people’s own pictures of her, I thought she would be more of a deep maroon. 2.5/5. The smaller-than-11’-Lil-Gouda size and unnecessary ridged plastic center to the beet greens and stem keep this otherwise charming and well-made Squishmallows from being a 5/5, imo.
