Soft and heavy sweater for my cat

I bought this sweater for my cat, Shaggy. He's had 2 hairballs surgically removed, so the vet recommended keeping him shaved to prevent future problems. He's always cold, so the sweater helps keep him warm. The medium was too small. The extra large was a little big. Unfortunately, it got snagged in a few places, so I couldn't send it back, but I think the large would've been the best size. This sweater is a legit, heavy sweater and very soft! Shaggy is 10 lbs, neck is 11", and length from neck to back is about 14".

It runs so small that a large fits a small dog and the neck opening on the large is difficult to fit over the head of a small dog- my puppy never got to wear it -
