Hugolog 3K 5MP Indoor Security Camera

This camera offers a lot at a fairly affordable price. However, for each positive there is a negative which leaves my feeling of it rather mixed compared to some other brands I've used and right in the middle of the pack. Pros: 1. It's relatively inexpensive 2. Records 4K video 3. 3x zoom (not many other cameras offer this) 4. WDR support 5. Motion tracking 6. Human body filtering 7. Vehicle detection 8. ONVIF support 9. 2x video playback speed 10. File downloading works fairly well and will combine multiple video clips into a single file up to about 7.5 minutes 11. You can disable the status indicator LED Cons: 1. It's unreliable after a power loss. The camera does not resume automatically and requires reconfiguring the SD card before it will record again. 2. Video quality looks low for 4K 3. You can mute audio during playback in the app, but it does not appear possible to turn off the microphone while recording video 4. WDR doesn't filter very well against glare and washes out colors 5. Motion tracking gets camera stuck facing the wrong way and setting a surveillance area does not help with this 6. Human body filtering doesn't always work and misses activity 7. Vehicle detection will keep triggering every minute on parked vehicles and will capture for 30 seconds, pause for 30 seconds, and then repeat indefinitely 8. ONVIF works, but it does not list how to access the RTSP stream so I had to use a third party app to find the RTSP address and port 9. The software leaves much to be desired especially when trying to playback video. Navigation could really use a way to skip to previous and next video segments without needing to scroll through the timeline. Also I would have also liked 4x playback speed as well. 10. Disabling the logo watermark also disables the timestamp Some of these items could be resolved with software improvements. Some would require firmware updates. Others may not be addressable at all. Overall, I wanted to like this camera for the hardware features and the price, but I found it to be more middle of the road. Not entirely bad, but not entirely great either.
