Intense smell right when you open the box. And it's not from the coffee scented candle. It's a heavy plastic smell. I'm not sure if it was from the packing material they used, but it just saturated everything, especially the face towel. I thought this was going to be a box full of high quality items, but it just came off as cheaply made. I'll go from least quality item to best. The journal was falling apart when I first opened it. I've never had a book come unglued right away. The jewelry dish has ripples in the ceramic glazing. The mug, although cute, does have a small bubble defect right at the color line, making it stand out. The socks were soft but very thin, you could see my skin through them. The coffee scented soy candle smells great! It has all the info printed on it without any other designs besides the logo, so it's a bit plain. Lastly, the face towel. Very cute and presented well. It was hit heaviest with the chemical smell, so wash well before using. It had a nice pattern on it with some fringe on the end. All and all, I wasn't impressed with this gift box. If I were to buy this as a gift for somebody, it would be an absolute necessity to repackage it because of the plastic smell. Which is a shame, because the box itself was very pretty and added to the overall appearance.
