Easy and effective knife sharpener. Great value.

I bought this knife sharpener after seeing a similar sharpener advertised on Instagram (Tumbler) for $100. I have tried using sequential whetstones in the past but found them to be time consuming and rather difficult to use properly. This Bulofe system works great. The magnetic blade holder works for my 8" chef's knife, but it works equally well for my smaller kitchen knives, steak knives and pocket knife. What I found to be the best feature is how easy and effective the rolling sharpening/honing works. After 12 passes on each side of the knife with the diamond sharpening disc followed by 8-10 passes with the ceramic honing disc, my knives are sharper than I was ever able to get them with me whetstone set. and I was able to sharpen one knife in a few minutes rather than the 45 minutes using my whetstone set took. The knives have held their sharpness well, even with daily use. Great knife sharpener at a great price!

Lots of elbow grease required

Such a cunning idea: an elegant and impressive item but you may wear yourself out trying to get your knives sharpened. In fairness, my knives were pretty dull, but they're not much better for all the work I put in. My guess is that you would do better to have your knives professionally sharpened, then you might be able to maintain them with this clever device.
