A super-low price trainer drone
By Ooh, shiny gadget. on Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2024
About a year ago, I purchased a cheap drone for around $100. It was quite similar to this MSMV RC Drone, except that I had a lot of problems with the video on that drone. It wasn't a problem for me because that drone was also being used as a trainer for my kids to practice flying a drone so that they aren't crashing my expensive drone as they are learning to fly. In fact, this MSMV drone now costs less than $70, making it an even better deal than I got last year. In the box, this drone comes with two batteries to extend fly time to about 20 - 30 minutes and a carrying case for protection. There are also extra propellers and a tool to replace them with. The MSMV RC Drone has basic hold functionality and can takeoff/land by itself. Otherwise, the controls are close enough to a standard DJI drone that the skills learned on the MSMV can carry over. With a live wifi camera feed, this drone also simulates some of the DJI camera controls (camera angle can be raised and lowered) but there is no gimbal on the MSMV so the video coming out of it can be pretty shaky. As a toy, this drone is easy to fly and fun to take aerial pictures. There is no onboard storage on the drone so all video and photos are taken through the WIFI connection so you're really not going to get true HD quality images from this, but when you look at it from the perspective of using this drone to learn to fly and still be able to get some pictures and videos out of it, I think it's well worth the reduced price of this drone. In the end, my kids have a drone that I don't mind if they crash or lose. I think that this drone justifies its asking price and if you decide to use it as a training drone, you'll be saving yourself from a lot of grief by not practicing on the expensive drones. In fact, if you train yourself on this drone, the expensive ones are just THAT much easier to fly as they have much better stability and hold controls.

Horrible response and handling
By Jordan Harmon on Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2024
The response from the controller is awful. Even the smallest gust of wind sends this thing failing. Not to mention the "auto hover" should be renamed to "auto kamikaze" considering it just goes up and takes off on its own. And the "collision avoidance" does nothing more than make it auto drop becuase only two of four propellers work after it touches a blade of grass
