Mind Reader Back to School Monitor Stand

This is a basic monitor stand made of metal with one mesh drawer. Even though it was at a high price point, I thought it would be worth it since it comes full of office supplies. Sadly, I will discard most of the office supplies because they are low quality. All the supplies were wrapped in plastic, but yuck, when I opened them, they were covered in dust. The stapler look noticeable worn and old, as if it had been sitting in an office for twenty years. The sticky notes are very dusty, and so are the pens. The metal stand is a little better. The top is a flat surface that has a few sharp raises/imperfections. The base has one edge which has a very sharp area -- this is a factory defect that should have been addressed; I have to make sure not to put my hand in that area for fear that it will cut my skin. On a positive note, the corner edges of the stand are rounded, so that's good, and the mesh drawer does shut easily. Rating just the monitor stand, I give it 3 stars. But accompanied by the dusty and old-looking office supplies (very cheap notebooks and poly file folders, too), I have to reduce this to 2 stars. I think this product is extremely overpriced, and I am flat-out disappointed that I spent money on this. I am a vine reviewer, but I still have to pay more than 20% tax, which is just too much for this product.
