I just wanted something simple, yet durable, and these fit the bill! I like the addition of the wood divider as well. Perfect smaller set

We've use Mikasa flatware for many years so I didn't hesitate to select this set for my large household. What are good: Large buffet flatware set of 8 x 3 (dinner forks, dinner knives, mid size spoons). Adequate materials and manufacturing. Appears capable of standing up to the rigors of daily use. Plain, simple, unpatterned design makes this set easy to clean. No sharp edges on the handles. Includes a wooden utensils holder/caddy. Adequately polished and shiny finish. A good flatware set for daily family use or for visiting relatives and guests (no need to bring out the fancy silverware). What are not so good: Nowhere on the product box does it indicate this set is made from 18/0 stainless steel. This info is only disclosed on the product webpage. Lower tier 18/0 stainless steel instead or higher grade18/10 or 18/8 (chromium/nickel). More nickel content means more corrosion resistance and maintaining shine. The fork prongs are edgy and sharper than necessary. Dinner knives have no serrations for steaks or tougher foods. Only 1/2 of the larger than needed knife blade has a cutting edge. Spoon is somewhat smaller than a typical mid-sized spoon for general use. $89.99 for a set of 24 x 18/0 flatware is rather high even for a name brand like Mikasa. Spoons have slightly squared off bowl/scoop edges that may irritate some users' mouths.
