They rip easily and lose the seal. Only about 2 in every 5 bags actually kept the air out and stayed sealed. Unfortunately for us, putting them into a storage unit and storing some in the compartments of our RV, having them expand suddenly was a real pain in the neck. The hand pump does work but you'll be at it forever.
