Old Man LOVES it!

I have an 18 yo lab with arthritis. We got this for him to help his old bones during the colder winters. HE LOVES IT! His favorite spot is on top of this heating pad. He definitely seems more comfy with this insane addition to his medicines. We also have 2 small yorkies who will snuggle up with him and share the heating pad if they're feeling chilly. The size and price was excellent compared to other heating pads and it's been several months now without any issues. At first it will feel like its not getting hot, but it does once you lay on it. The temp and time control is great also and wasn't offered on many other pads in the same price range. Highly recommend! If you have a senior or a small dog who gets chilly easy this is a total win for both of them.

Not with it , does not heat well . When you touch the blanket you can’t feel any heat from the blanket . About to return this .

This heated mat works as described. Our dog loves it, as it gives him a warm place to lay during cooler days and evenings. We have it placed under a durable mat, so as to provide more cushion and comfort, since the heating elements can be felt through the products cover. This makes the pad and mat both comfy and cozy. So this is a very large dog bed. It's not that thick, but that's not why I got it, I got it for its heating function. As long as you don't expect it to be as thick or fluffy as a traditional dog bed, it's thickness won't be an issue for you either. It warms up well and quickly, our doggie loves it. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an on/off button so if it's plugged in, it's just always on. That's why I deducted a star. If you want the ability to turn it on/off without plugging/unplugging it, I'd recommend connecting it to a power strip with the ability to turn individual outlets on/off.
