KIZECK Ergonomic Swivel Computer Desk Chair

When I initially opened this chair, I thought that it came broken! The wheel base comes with one leg that has to be installed afterward. This is a clever way to reduce the amount of packaging and shipping is needed to get these chairs to customers. In my testing, the attached leg didn't seem to be a major weak point in the chair whatsoever. Don't freak out if you see one the legs half-missing! There is an issue with the manual/ hardware sheet. The instructions call for 30mm screws, and the hardware sheet says that they are 35mm screws. I didn't actually measure them for myself, but they went into the chair no problem. I guess that extra 5mm depth is no big deal. Both of the arms have well formed slots so that can slightly adjust how close the arms are to the chair. Moving onto the chair back...the situation is different. The slots on the chair back are deformed, although they don't seem to negatively impact the chair performance. I didn't feel like getting out an exacto blade to trim out the slots. Much like the deformed slots for the chair back, there was another quality issue with the threaded inserts. They were slightly angled. This means that the installation wasn't simple and it felt like I might strip the threaded inserts. I was able to get them in without issue with some additional care. This chair is not comfortable. Full stop. My wife and I both have mid range chairs for home offices (~500 usd) and use office chairs of all varying qualities at work as well. I wouldn't be able to spend more than an hour in this chair. In fact, I wasn't able to last more than an hour playing Tekken 8 on my PC while sitting in this chair. My back was absolutely on fire. I stand 6' tall and my wife stands 5'5". These arm rests aren't tall enough for either of us to rest our arms on them. For me, when the piston is lowered, there is a lot of play in the seat. It rocks around. My wife didn't experience this. The adjustable lumbar support wasn't a good fit for either of our heights and seemed to be a source of the back burning. My son is 4' tall and loves it! it's a pretty good height and fit for him. If I had paid 70 USD for this, I would be extremely disappointed. The quality is decent, it is a functional chair, and might fit a need for a younger child, hence the 3 star rating. However, there are MANY chairs on amazon that are cheaper, similar quality, and may have more adjustment features. I can't recommend this chair for purchase at full price. Buy something else.
