Retains odor very well but if you have a medium or large dog I would advise not using this becuase they figure out how to use the sensor quickly !

Difficult to empty.

This trash can was great to start until I had to empty it for the first time. It is extremely difficult to empty. It gets stuck in the trash can and won't come out. I didn't even fill it very full. It wasn't packed in or pushed down. Just general throw away.
