TISEMENT Norfolk Pine Garlands with Light String, 6F

I ordered 2 of these garlands, which came with a string of fairy lights for each garland. The garlands themselves are fine, but neither of the light strings work. They are battery-operated, and I tried multiple new AA batteries in each set to no avail. The string of fairy lights is sized to match the garland, which is why it would be nice to have the seller provide lights that function. While I appreciate that Amazon's Customer Service offered to make it right by replacing both of the garlands with their defective light strings, and having me return the original garlands and lights, it's annoying and inconvenient to return everything. In other words, they can't just replace the lights; you have to return and replace the entire product. I will keep the original garlands and try to find two small strings of fairy lights to fit them on my own dime.
