This is such a versatile pop up playpen and is easily the biggest and easy one I have purchased yet.

Important design flaw
By J.H. on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2025
This thing is cool and convenient and I really wanted to love it. But there are two issues, and one of them is a dealbreaker for us. First, the tent/playard is super easy and quick to use, just a couple of steps to open and close. The fabric is sturdy and of thicker, better quality than others in this price range, and the product itself is a convenient and cool design. But with that convenience, the pop-up design has a lot of small joints and moving parts all made of plastic. It doesn't feel like it would be very durable with frequent outdoor use. Even being gentle, I'd be worried about a small piece cracking or snapping under tension and making the whole thing useless. This seems to be par for the course with these style of pop-up playpen tents, though, so take it or leave it. The second problem is a silly but big oversight in the design that makes it less secure and, unfortunately, ruins the point of having an enclosed outdoor playard. The netting and fabric seem to be entirely enclosed around the playard... except for the bottom half of the door. For some reason, they designed the fabric flap over the door to only zip around the top half. There is no zipper around the bottom half. The bottom half of the door simply flaps down and attaches to the rest of the playard via two small pieces of velcro at the base. This means, 1) there are big open gaps around the entire bottom half of the door where any bugs or critters can easily enter the tent/playard if they land anywhere near the door and simply crawl inside. We got this to keep scaries like yellowjackets and mosquitoes away from our kids while hanging out or gardening outside in spring & summer. But with this design, bugs can easily get inside and then end up flying around trapped and angry in there with the kiddos. That's a big ol' nope for us. This flaw in the door design also means, 2) it would be really easy for a toddler or even a mobile baby to push the bottom half of the door flap open and crawl right out. The velcro is not heavy duty, and it would take very little strength to push the flap out and open. Now, hopefully no one is leaving kids unattended in this thing, so if they get out it's not a huge deal because an adult is right there. But why bother creating an enclosed playard that isn't actually enclosed? I can't risk taking my baby out into the garden with me in this thing, then turning around for a minute and a wasp or something to get inside and sting my kid. Or to get trapped inside so I have to waste time catching & herding bugs out of the playard every time we use it. Otherwise, this product seems generally great. Better quality than others in this price range, but those are all fully enclosed while this one is not. Don't know why they chose not to continue the zipper around half of the door on this one. Super bummed to have to return it.
