Theses carbon steel bread pans are awesome. I make gluten free sour dough bread pans and they are working better than any other pans I have used. They hold the heat really well and my bread rises beautifully and comes out with a beautiful crust. They are a dream to wash as nothing sticks to them. I highly recommend these pans to anyone who likes to bake.

Nonstick coating safety is questionable

When I saw this was carbon steel, I thought that perhaps the nonstick was more of a vegetable-based seasoning that you see on other carbon steel and cast iron cookware. No such luck. Although it says made without PFAS, PFOA and PTFE, I called contacted Oster to find out what the coating was made from. They couldn't tell me, but they said it was "like Teflon"...which is PTFE. No thanks.
