"And by them you mean the people who didn't like your movie, sir?"

I should have expected it. I should have prepared. Some sort of backup plan.

"Or you could have looked for a writer who didn't hang a whole movie on a jar of urine, that would have been nice too."

This is my fault. I'm never going into the light again.

"Oh, come now, sir. You came out of this just fine. You've got your own movie! Won't that be nice? And in August I'm sure everyone will be impressed with your cameos."

"Oh, I know so, sir. Tell you what, why don't you spend a few days behind these Blackout Panels having a nice, refreshing brood and watching Daredevil on Netflix. I'll bring you some devil's food cake-"

With the dark chocolate ice cream?

"-yes, yes, I just got a fresh batch. And you can sit in here and pig out, as they say, until you feel better. And then in August you'll see it all with fresh eyes."

That's a good plan. I should have had that plan.

"Well, you'll be making plans again soon, sir. Oh, incidentally, did you still want to go play Pokemon Go with your friend Henry? He's quite keen on the game, as you recall."

"No worries, sir. I know that inside that big scary exterior is just a little eight year old boy. It'll all be better soon. You'll see."
