A Woot Classic Moment

We’re too caught up in the frenzied celebration of our 10th birthday to write about today's product. Check out this refurbi- uh, classic write-up.

Hooked On Ezonics (February 2007):

You know that corny old saw about how the eyes are the windows to the soul? Well, I’m here to testify that it must be true, because I just keep making bad character judgments about my webcam friends. There was Rachyll, whose webcam mysteriously went dead as soon as she got my credit card number. There was Vladimira, who had me believing she was just a down-home Irkutsk gal until she bumped her webcam and I saw all the Green Bay Packers paraphernalia in her apartment. (Her "Russian" accent did sound a little shaky, but I’m the trusting kind.) And let’s not forget Cyanaqua, whose webcam, er, mysteriously went dead as soon as she got my credit card number. I swear, you think you know somebody…

But no more. From now on, I exclusively cam-chat with owners of the Ezonics iContact Pro II Webcam and Bluetooth Bundle. See, the swiveling camera arm of the webcam lets you position it right next to your viewing window, so you can look at it and your cam-pal all simultaneous-like. Now, I can peer deeply into a person’s soul-windows before I decide if he or she (OK, it’s always she) can be trusted with my expiration date.

And this package includes a USB Bluetooth dongle and a wireless Bluetooth headset. They mean for you to use it with the webcam, sure. But if you wanted to use the headset with your Bluetooth-equipped phone, and use the dongle to connect other Bluetooth items to your PC, nobody’s going to stop you. It’s still a free country, unlike some.

Speaking of which, I should let you go. I sent an Ezonics iContact cam to a very good friend in Myanmar, and we kind of have a big video date tonight. Actually, I thought it was supposed to start an hour ago. Maybe I figured the time-zone thing wrong, or maybe she’s been temporarily detained by the secret police. Anyway, I’m sure she’ll be along any minute now. I think I’m in love!

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
