They say good things come in threes. I think they also say that about bad things, but we're just going to ignore that part.

I bet if you add it all up, Van Gogh had a lot more good things going for him than bad things. So maybe he was a little crazy. But aren't we all? Granted, there are different levels of crazy. There is the "I'm a little quirky and like to say offbeat things for reaction" crazy, and then there is the "I'm so mad at this other painter that I'm going to cut off part of my ear" crazy.

But really, besides the ear thing, what other bad things happened to Van Gogh? Sure there was that gunshot in the field, but that's still only two.

Now what about the good things? 1. Being a world famous artist. So he was dead before that happened, but still. 2. Getting to hang out in the French countryside with other famous artists. Totally sweet. 3. Growing a kickass beard. He did a lot of self-portraits that display his man-mane in all its glory if you want to see for yourself.

I could go on and on. But I think I've made my point. Yeah.
