Great coffee maker...but...
By immortel on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2013
Great coffee maker...the best indeed, bought in total 3 for gifts, but had to return 1 (not the fault of the seller, but fault of manufacturer), because of serious defect...water tank leakage.I think it comes from the quality of the plastic, which is PP (PP mandatory according to food new regulations). But PP is not an accurate plastic (I'm a manufacturer), so the water outlet of the water tank is not perfectly round, which makes the tank leaks of water as it does not perfectly fit the water inlet, when you put it in.I personally have an old version of over 10 years, the tank is made of PS, which is a super accurate plastic, no leakage at all, but PS tends to be degradable, which could be harmful on long term.I am still waiting for reimbursement for the one I return.Packaging is very good, 'cause fullfilled by Amazon, very professional.Thanks.UPDATE: Amazon reimburse the one defected very quickly. BRAVO to AMAZON ! The best online buying market...I mainly buy my things on Amazon...

Krups Opio Espresso - Review
By ggraple on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2013
--Update ReviewI had this machine since Jan 2013. It worked great and I really liked it a lot. For the past 4 months, I have been having problems with the espresso on/off switch and a leak near the top of the unit. I took it apart and I found that a white colored valve (labeled 7c) with 2 brass (or brass colored) pistons were rusted a bit and the white plastic valve casing was leaking. O-rings and hosing connections were fine, but the cheap white casing leaked. Considering that the rest of the unit is very well made, Krups decided to go cheapo on the valves.. great, I won't be buying another Krups product... even though I have 2 machines already.--First Review after 3 Weeks BelowGot this machine about 3 weeks back and it has been working great since. Heats up nicely and very easy to operate. Has a simple lever design so you can adjust how much water you want to go through the shot each time. The tray on the bottom of the machine collects water for cooling. This tray is rather small and needs to be dumped quite often depending on if you use the steam function or not. Overall, the espresso tastes great and I would recommend this machine.
