Westcott Scissors For Kids, 5’’ Pointed

I got these inexpensive scissors because my young dog kept getting ahold of my other small scissors and chewing up the handles. I figured that even if he chews these up, at least they are inexpensive, and there's a lot in the package to replace them with. The good news is that he's not chewing these up--either he has outgrown that stage or I've trained him not to like them or I've trained myself to put them away better or they just don't have that chewy goodness as the other ones did. The only problem is that they just don't cut that well. I use these mostly for cutting yarn. Not a very difficult task, one snip should do the trick. But I usually have to hack away at the yarn to get a cut, and hence the cut is not that clean. It doesn't matter that much, but I'd like to just snip once and get a clean cut. Not so with these. I guess the good news is that if you are giving these to kids to use, they won't do much harm, since they are a bit dull.
